Jason Starr was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is the multi-award-winning author of eight books, including BLOODLINES, which he co-edited with Maggie Estep. At 33, Jason Starr was already being hailed as a master of dark psychological suspense, with reviewers comparing him to Patricia Highsmith, Jim Thompson and James M. Cain. His first novel, COLD CALLER, has been published in six foreign countries and has been called "a literary tour de force" by The Baltimore Sun. In addition to writing crime novels, he writes screenplays, occasionally adapting his own work for film. He lives in Manhattan.
