Kate Garrick joined DeFiore and Company in 2002, having come to the world of publishing in 2000 after earning her M.A. in English & American Literature from NYU. She's most interested in fiction and non-fiction that's fresh, compelling, and, most importantly, expertly narrated. She's especially looking to build lasting relationships with emerging writers. She's not considering any genre fiction (romance, sci-fi, fantasy, westerns), poetry or prescriptive non-fiction. She's originally from Jacksonville, Florida.
