Marina Koestler Ruben teaches 8th through 12th grade students as the official in-house Writing Tutor at Sidwell Friends School. She also teaches writing to elementary school students through Writopia Lab, privately tutors students throughout the D.C. area, and previously helped run Potomac Tutors, a private tutoring company in Maryland. Her articles have appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, McSweeney's, CNN.com, among others.
